WoW Daily Quests – New Record!

Hey guys, just thought I’d share a little bit of my own progress with speed-running WoW dailies. I’d only been doing the full 25 dailies on my Blood spec Death Knight, and I was averaging just under 2 hours for the full 25. I figured things were going pretty well, speed-wise.

Well, tonight I decided to respec to Unholy and picked up Unholy Aura and On a Pale Horse (Movement speed talents, for those of you who haven’t rerolled a DK yet, heh) and I got a bit of a shock. I finished my 25 daily quests in 91 minutes. I managed to shave 15 minutes from my best time, and about 20 from my average, and that was with me stopping to smash a priest who thought he could step.

I’m thinking with a little more optimization of my choice of dailies, I can probably whittle it down to just over an hour. Maybe 250g / hr from dailies really is possible. Anyone care to share their best speed record for 25 daily quests?

Argent Tournament Dailies = Pure Awesome

I know I’m a little bit late to the party posting about this, but I am absolutely loving the new Argent Tournament daily quests!  For those of you who aren’t aware, the Argent Tournament is a new hub implemented in patch 3.1 that adds a ton of new daily quests and corresponding rewards.  Here’s the original announcement by Zarhym:

In patch 3.1, a new world event titled “The Argent Tournament” will be coming to Northrend! This tournament will be live on the 3.1 PTR and open for testing, though certain aspects are still in development. Players will find a host of new features here, including:

  • The ability to prove your worth to a capital city of your choosing through our new mounted combat system (still in development)
  • New daily quests to construct the great Argent Crusade coliseum for glorious battles to come
  • All new rewards – new items, titles, banners, tabards, pets, mounts, and more
  • All new achievements
  • Many more festivities, and more to come in future content updates!

Players will find the Argent Tournament in Icecrown. Speaking to any Northrend flight master will get you on track to prove your worth to the Argent Crusade, your faction’s leaders, and all denizens of Azeroth!

These dailies should be of particular note to any WoW players interested in building up their mount collection.  There’s one new mount per faction to be earned by turning in the token rewards from the dailies.  If you’re getting bored of the current round of daily quests, definitely make sure to give these dailies a go!

WoW Daily Quests – My Favorite

I’ve probably mentioned this in every post I’ve written thus far, but of all of the WoW daily quests, my favorite is without a doubt “Defending Wyrmrest Temple”. 

For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, this daily quest asks you to hop on the back of a red dragon and go burninate some blues who have overstepped their bounds.  It ends with you dive bombing an entire dragonshrine.  Just the opportunity to do this should be reward enough, but on top of that, you get:

Before level 80 – 20750 experience and 5g60s

At level 80 – 15g56s

In addition, you get 250 rep with Wyrmrest Accord, which puts you a bit closer to getting a red drake mount of your very own.  If you haven’t done this daily quest yet, head out to Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight and fly up to the mid level to get this quest from Afrasastrasz.
